Facing the Big Slide

I paddled my front paws through the warm, turquoise ripples of the shallow pool, ducking my snout under until a cluster of silver bubbles wobbled to the surface. Popping back up with a brisk shake of my floppy ears, I scrambled onto the yellow learner slide and splashed down smoothly. But then I looked up at the towering blue tube slide curling high above the basin. 'Oh boy, that is huge,' I whispered, my paws hesitating at the edge. Telling myself it was time to face my fears, I pushed off, zipped down the dizzying curve, and crashed into a glorious wall of spray. Best day ever!
