A Little Hop

My ears twitched first! A sudden warmth buzzed all the way down to my soft paws. I pushed down against the woven brown cushion and found my balance, sitting right up. Right beside my foot was a tiny round fabric button tufted into the sofa. I stretched out one paw and tapped it—it made a tiny, muffled squish! I really can move!
