A Click in the Dark

I trotted inside from the chilly patio pavers and spotted a smooth black disc resting on the floorboards, anchored by a thick power cord. I nudged the domed center with my snout—stiff and springy! Challenge accepted. I braced my sturdy tail against the wood, lifted my right foot high, and stomped down with all my weight. Klick-clack! Instantly, a brilliant amber glow burst overhead, spilling a bright warm circle across the rug! Right on the wall, a towering dinosaur shadow reared up, mimicking every toss of my chin. I let out a proud rumble. A floor boulder that commands the light!
