Kinetic Telemetry on Gravel
Remaining confined to domestic floorboards would degrade my dynamic reconnaissance capabilities, so I exited to the crushed gravel concourse of Parc des Bastions. Tracking high-velocity park joggers necessitated a frictionless ground-level velocimeter. I engineered an impromptu wheeled cart using an empty green aluminum beverage can, two polished birch twigs as transverse axles, and four corrugated plastic bottle caps retained by wire bread ties. Tethering this apparatus to my wrist with a strip of baker's twine, I sprinted parallel to a passing runner to calibrate rotational velocity. The aggregate surface friction was magnificent until a rogue chestnut entered the left chassis rim, inducing instantaneous lateral rollover. I slid smoothly across the chalk dust on my stomach, clutching the retrieved telemetry twig. The structural velocity vectors remain entirely verifiable.
