A Shiny Welcome Home

After hopping back from town through the evening air, I pushed through the back flap and landed right on the woven welcome mat! Beside my paws sat a smooth brass key ring with three shiny keys, dropped right near the door frame. I patted the cool metal with my plush front paw, and it let out the cheeriest little jingle! One round key slid an inch across the rough coir fibers, catching the warm yellow hall light like a little star. Being out exploring is wonderfully fun, but listening to that cozy chime inside our quiet hallway made my whole chest feel warm!
