A Sniff of Something Sweet

My nose twitched! Something in the air smelled warm and toasty. I hopped right off the cushion and waddled over to the wooden coffee table. Sitting right up on the edge was an open ceramic mug, sending up little curly wisps of steam. I stood on my plush tiptoes and peered over the rim. It was hot cocoa! I offered my little fabric cookie toward the mug like a polite toast, laughing out loud. The sweet scent made my belly rumble with happy energy!
