A Glow in the Dark

A warm red glow flared right on my chest. My eyes blinked open. I wasn't locked in place anymore! I pushed down against the pale surface beneath me, kicking both feet until I popped right up. My gloved fists tapped against the ground. Sturdy. Solid. Ready for action!
