Perimeter Elevation Test
The morning calls for open territory. I slipped out past the patio door and crossed the dew-damp grass to the rear timber fence. A rusty iron latch bar blocked the garden gate. I jumped, caught the horizontal rail with both gloved hands, and levered my torso straight up. The latch mechanism was jammed with dried soil, but steady force broke the grit free with a sharp clank. Balancing on the narrow wooden top rail gave me a direct line of sight over the neighboring lane and the brick wall beyond. The structure holds my weight without flexing. Boundary secured.
