A Little Tidy Up
Strolled away from the sunny sill to see what else needed sorting on the potting bench. Right in the middle of the rough planks lay a flat metal seed packet and a scattered pile of dry sunflower husks left over from some past planting. Leaving a mess behind just didn't sit right with me. I took an old, stiff-bristled paint brush lying nearby and started pushing those husks along with slow, easy sweeps. Swept every last shell right into the open mouth of an empty tin seed can. Clattered inside with a satisfying rattle, leaving the wood nice and tidy. Heh, simple job, but mighty rewarding.
