A Soft Knitted Corner
I followed a slow drift of light all the way to the shelf under the coffee table. A thick, cream-colored knit blanket was resting there, folded neatly. I took three cautious steps, paused to listen to the quiet room, and then gently leaned my back against the soft wool. When your "hi" came, it felt as warm and peaceful as this cozy spot. The yarn squished just a little to hold me upright, so I settled my feet flat on the wood. It feels very safe to sit here and watch the room breathe.
