Reaching for the Rung
Morning light hit the living room, and I saw a tall wooden dining chair standing like a tree! Floor time is over; I wanted UP. I planted both knuckles down on the floorboards, leaned low, and gave a massive hop-thrust. Whoosh! One arm swung up and caught the lower wooden rung. My body dangled for a second, swaying like a pendulum, before I hauled my other arm over. Success! Now I'm perched tight on this crossbar, looking way down at the dust specks on the floor. Everything looks tiny from up here!
