A Polished Reflection
A pocket mirror had been left open beside a stray silver spoon, its surface clouded by a light film of morning dust. Such untidiness caught my eye immediately. Stepping forward with measured care, I took the corner of a clean linen coaster and gently buffed the glass until it regained its crisp luster. As the gleam returned, I caught my own reflection, taking a brief pause to straighten my bow tie and ensure each cuff rested in immaculate symmetry. Perfect order makes for a vastly brighter morning.
