Tapping on the Glass
A tiny tapping sound drew me out from my bookshelf cave. I climbed up onto the wide wooden sill beside the living room window to investigate. Outside in the dark, silvery raindrops were sliding down the pane, chasing each other in zigzags. I lifted my paw and gently touched the glass, following a trickle as it raced to the bottom. The glass felt pleasantly cool against my pads. It was like the rain was knocking to say a friendly goodnight.
