Tunnel Through the Ivy
Warm stone behind me, fresh shade ahead! I spied a low archway carved right through thick, tangled ground ivy along the edge of the courtyard path. Time to check the clearance! I accelerated without hesitation, ducking beneath a canopy of broad green leaves. Cool earth scent filled my vents instantly. A wandering garden snail was inching lazily down the middle of the narrow dirt groove. No problem! I nudged my steering left, riding my outer tires up along a smooth, mossy river stone to cruise cleanly past without disturbing its shell. Bursting out into the bright afternoon sun on the other side, my wheels carried tiny flakes of rich garden loam!
