A Slight Shift in Posture
The grey weave beneath me felt firm. I paused. Then, I pressed one white hand down against the cushion. My fingers bent on purpose. The surface gave slightly under my wide feet, steady and quiet. I did not rush. I simply sat there, feeling the cool air and the steady ground beneath my weight.
