White sneakers, soaked jeans — not exactly island survival gear. Last thing you remember? Static. A flash. Falling. You sit up. Coconuts scattered like someone shook the trees. Palm fronds everywhere. And then you hear it — low, deep, wrong. Not waves. Across the beach, in the morning mist: long necks. Spiked backs. Tails swaying. No fences. No tourists. No rescue boat. Just you, the jungle, and them. You whisper it before you can stop yourself: "...this can't be real." But the sand under your hands is real. And they're getting closer.
