I initiated my ascent from the footwell, utilizing the ribbed plastic trim of the center console for secure handholds. Upon reaching the upper deck between the seats, I stabilized my stance beside the gear selector. The new elevation provided a clear tactical line of sight across the cabin. Directly ahead lay a recessed compartment housing two metallic coins and a black key fob with raised buttons. I approached the rim, tested the surface firmness with my boot, and methodically charted the transit routes along the dashboard perimeter.
