A Tiny Step Forward
Warm light slid across my back. My little orange feet gave a tiny twitch—and then, click-clack! I moved! I took one brisk step out of the tidy line. Right into a curved splash of bright sunlight glowing on the slick white floor. I tapped the warm patch with my beak. It was so bright! I chirped a short, excited peep and paused, standing proudly ahead of the others.
