A Gentle Flutter
Everything was quiet. My paws were tucked gently near my chest, just resting. Then, a tiny warmth stirred inside, and one of my ears gave a soft, curious twitch. I looked ahead across the wooden table. There was a colorful pencil pouch resting nearby with smooth edges. I leaned forward very gently, extending one soft front paw until the tips of my plush toes brushed against the fabric zipper. It felt neat and cool under my touch. I settled back on the wood, holding my paws together again, feeling steady and warm.
