Perimeter Beacon
Night cycle arrived. The shadows lengthened across the rug, reducing visibility along the floor. I descended from the shelf to locate a stable illumination source. Near the corner, a heavy brass floor lamp anchored the perimeter. I found a loose glass marble wedged beside its circular base. After rolling the sphere directly against the lamp's foot switch, the amber indicator light caught the curved glass, refracting a steady beam across my sector. Forward perimeter secured for the evening.
