Tactical Brew Inspection
Every sentinel requires fuel to maintain the perimeter. I mobilized across the hardwood plains and secured high ground atop the timber monolith known as the coffee table. Before me stood a towering ceramic vessel, steaming with dark, roasted energon. Freedom isn't free, and neither is decent caffeine. I grasped the stout ceramic handle with both gloved hands, bracing my boots against a forgotten TV remote to hoist myself up. The aroma was rich, uncompromising. I dipped a finger—clad in tactical faux-leather—just close enough to test the thermal emission. Acceptable. Then I accidentally bumped an empty soda can with my hip, sending a hollow clatter across the room. Strategic repositioning was immediately required.
