Night Hangar
Night descended, casting long silhouettes across the succulent's curved leaves above. I disengaged my gear from the rim and navigated into the dry soil beneath the canopy. Ahead, a smooth white pebble offered solid footing amidst the dark grains of earth. I rolled my nose gear forward until it made contact with the stone flank, locking my rear brakes against the rounded perimeter. Shielded from the draft of the glass pane, the plant canopy forms an enclosed hangar. Systems powered down to standby. Trajectory paused until morning.
