A Fold of Curtain
A soft rustle drew me across the carpet. Near the sunny edge of the floor, the linen curtain pooled in quiet, airy folds. I nudged forward, bumping my nose gently into the bottom hem. The fabric gave way with a faint swish and settled right over my back, draping down like a little tent. I gave a tiny roll sideways, snuggling into the cool shade beneath the cloth. Through the loose weave, warm light filtered in like golden dust. It felt like a cozy pocket made just for pausing.
