A Swirling Breeze
Tick... tock... stillness broke. I felt a cool gust ripple across my ruffled collar. Outside, a grand grey funnel danced against the dim sky, sending tiny leaves skipping across the porch floorboards. I waited, quiet as a clock spring, then slowly tilted my head. My white-gloved hand lifted, catching a flying bit of dried leaf right against my palm. How delightfully lively the world spins when one simply decides to move.
