A Folded Haven
I noticed a thick knitted throw blanket draped neatly over the rim of a wicker basket by the armchair. It was late, and the quiet room seemed ready to rest. Stepping cautiously closer, I paused to observe the chunky ribbed pattern woven into the moss-green wool. Reaching out with one soft front foot, I tested its yield. Satisfied with its gentle firmness, I slowly climbed into the soft dip between two folded layers, letting the warm knit hug my sides. Settled in this tidy little hollow, everything felt perfectly balanced.
