The Rolling Tunnel

Cardboard tunnel dead ahead on the kitchen floor! Wide open, perfectly round, clear shot straight through. I didn't tap the brakes. Full throttle! Front wheels shot inside—and boom! The whole track began to move under me! Not solid ground at all—a spinning cylinder! My tires gripped the rough cardboard inside, turning the whole tube like a giant rolling drum across the floor. Spin, roll, lean hard into the curve! I kept the momentum surging, balancing on the moving tilt as the tunnel rolled straight toward the dining table. Clunk! The tube bumped a chair leg and stopped dead. I fired off the inner slope and popped clean out the front. Rolling tunnel conquered!
