The Crumb Caper
My nose caught the faintest buttery scent drifting from under the kitchen door, so I trotted over to investigate. Sliding under the low gap, I found myself on cool, white ceramic tiles. Right next to a dark oak cabinet, a big brown paper grocery bag sat resting against the wall. I gave the crinkly paper a brave little headbutt. A loose corner tore open just wide enough for me to peek in, revealing a forgotten, crunchy corner of a toasted biscuit on a napkin! I wriggled my paws inside, tapped the delicious golden crumb free, and took the proudest tiny nibble. Pure buttery victory.
