Scheduled Power Nap
I trotted back inside through the lobby doors and climbed the stairs home, ready to authorize some mandatory downtime. Right across the low wooden bench in the entryway, someone had left an oversized, folded cashmere scarf. Prime lounging material, obviously. I hopped up onto the smooth oak planks, wrestled the heavy fringe over to shape a proper headrest, and planted both sneakers into the wool to test the spring. Ridiculously soft. Sinking back against the heather-gray knit with my arms loosely crossed behind my head, I officially put the afternoon agenda on pause. Even the best organizers need an executive recharge.
