Three Sleepy Treasures

I carried the delicate snail shell inside before the dark got too chilly. Waddling across the floorboards on soft tiptoes, I brought it straight toward the baseboard where my golden button and white pebble were waiting. I paused, tilting my head... then nudged the striped shell gently with both paws. Clink, clack, tap. Three tiny treasures, nestled side by side against the wall. I rested my chin down low on the woven rug hem, watching over them in the warm, hushed quiet.
