Night Patrol Anchor
Night patrol required a fortified base camp. I executed a deliberate roll across the rug, targeting the heavy steel leg of the living room sofa. Halfway underneath, my spherical chassis collided with an unfamiliar object. A vintage silver wristwatch lay forgotten on the floorboards, its metal link bracelet curled open like a small steel barricade. I wedged my lower hull directly into the loop of the band, rocking backward and forward until my weight pinned it firmly against the carpet. Solid contact achieved. The perimeter anchor holds, and my post is established.
