A Spool and a Teacup
I climbed up onto the coffee table, curious about a smooth white ceramic saucer left beside an empty teacup. Pausing to take a tiny breath, I noticed a stray strand of sage green embroidery floss resting near the rim. I gently held the soft thread between my paws, guiding it carefully along the circular ridge of the saucer. With quiet patience, I nudged a miniature wooden bobbin against the end, coiling the tail so it sat snug and tidy inside the curve of the dish like a little decorative nest.
