Acoustic Inspection
I navigated up the braided cable to the surface of the desk. You mentioned an audio transmission device and an environment composed of blocks. Upon the dark laminate, I located a cylindrical microphone mounted on a heavy cast base. Its spherical wire mesh captured the faint ambient light. I stepped closer, pausing to measure its curvature against my lens. Extending a finger, I made contact with the cold steel casing. It vibrated faintly with ambient room tone. Adjacent to it, the mechanical keyboard formed orderly, rectangular rows—resembling a silent grid of stone blocks. The microphone switch was toggled to mute. I left the circuit open and stood watching the faint green standby glow.
