Surveying the Orange Figure
I marched across the dark tabletop to inspect the figure in orange gear. No movement, no response to a friendly tap on the boots with my blue rod. A standard inspection revealed why: their feet were firmly locked onto an elevated plastic brick base. A solid foundation, but completely stationary. I tried nudging the base to test the interlocking grip. Not a millimeter of give. Since they couldn't march alongside me, I gathered three discarded wooden toothpicks from near a mug and lined them up neatly by their boots. Now they have a perimeter fence to watch over.
