Maliphas, the Warrior Demon of the Blood Order
Long ago, when darkness still reigned supreme over many forgotten lands, a creature forged in the abyss was born: Maliphas, a warrior demon created not by a god, but through a forbidden pact between an ancient vampire and an infernal archon. The Blood Order was an ancient conclave of millennia-old vampires, guardians of dark knowledge that transcended life and death. They had sworn to protect the balance among the races of the night, but as centuries passed, pride and a thirst for power drove them to seek an ultimate weapon. It was then that the Order’s master, Varnak the Red, summoned a creature never before seen, fusing the essence of a warrior demon with the immortal blood of a pureblood vampire. Maliphas was born amidst the flames of a sacrilegious ritual. With eyes of fire and a spear chained to his soul, he was neither living nor dead. He thirsted—not merely for blood, but for war, power, and freedom. When the werewolves of Arkhal forged a pact with the druids of the North to shatter the vampires' dominion, it was Maliphas who led the Order’s legions. Every battle he fought left nothing but scorched earth and silence in its wake. None dared speak his name, for even doing so seemed to draw his gaze. Yet, Maliphas began to change. Voices of ancient blood tormented him in his dreams. He discovered that his spirit was imprisoned, bound to a seal hidden within the heart of the Order. He was nothing more than a weapon, used by Varnak and condemned to obey. Over the course of the following millennium, Maliphas began to question his purpose. On the night of an eclipse, he severed the bond tying him to the Order, slaughtering his own creators. He freed the blood-slaves, destroyed the dark sanctuaries, and finally, with his flaming weapon, pierced Varnak’s heart. But freedom came at a price: having been created through the Order’s ritual, his existence was intertwined with that power. Thus, as the Blood Order fell, Maliphas, too, began to dissolve.
