A Blue Ribbon on the Pavement

I squeezed past the garden gate and trotted along the sidewalk until a chunky piece of blue sidewalk chalk caught my eye! It lay right beside the curb, dusty and bright. Curious what it could do, I planted both paws against its round side and shoved—skrrrrt! A bold, powdery streak of sky blue bloomed across the dark asphalt! My tummy gave an eager wiggle! Leaning all my plush weight into the chalk, I waddled forward in a grand, swooping curve. When the trail tapped against the warm stone curb, I leaned back proudly against the concrete to admire my brand new road!
