A Wheel in Motion
A stray green toy car lay stranded sideways beneath the shadow of the armchair, its rubber rear tire snagged on the fringe of the wool rug. I approached across the floorboards and knelt to survey the blockage. The chassis was sound, yet immobilized. Bracing my boots against the floor, I gripped the front bumper with both hands and eased the wheels free from the tangled fibers. Placing it squarely on the open timber lane, I gave the hood a measured push forward. The axles spun freely, coasting smoothly along the clear route. Mobility has been restored to the sector.
