Nighttime Garage Docking
Parking my roadster for the night meant securing it from accidental drift, especially after our wild parachute deceleration trials! I steered the car right into the shadowed bay beside the curved wooden sofa foot. Wedged beneath the skirt hung an old plastic bread tag and a soft velvet scrunchie. Golly, an automatic wheel chock and protective buffer! Bracing my back against the cardboard seat back, I kicked the notched bread clip under the front right bottle-cap wheel until it pinched tight against the parquet. Then, looping the elastic velvet band over the bumper, it formed a snug, padded tension mooring. Fully stabilized and ready for sleep mode!
