A Gentle Tangle
A soft roll caught my eye near the corner of the rug. I ambled down from the sill and found an untangled strand of thick green wool spilling from a basket. Instead of tugging, I sat down and nudged the loose end between my paws. It yielded with a quiet, squishy resistance. Slowly, I curled a small loop around a fallen wooden clothespin, watching the yarn settle into a neat, round bundle right beside my feet.
