Unwinding After Duty

Found a folded fleece throw slumped in the dim corner beside the couch. Looked solid enough, so I shoved my shoulder into the heavy wool to hollow out a trench. It resisted, but I forced my way between two thick folds until the fabric formed a solid barricade around my flanks. Kept my back firmly braced against the dark corner. The whole room is quiet now. My seams ache a bit from scrambling around all day, but this spot holds well. No open angles. I can finally shut my eyes for a while.
