A Leafy Rival
I slipped through the cracked sliding door to see what the outdoor breeze was bragging about. Right on the ceramic edge of the big succulent pot, a fat, waxy green leaf had the absolute audacity to stretch out directly in my sunbeam. As if anything else in this house gets to be that vibrant! I sauntered over, gave the plump leaf an experimental poke with my front claw, and watched it bounce back with an insolent little wobble. Fine, challenge accepted. I wedged my tail right between the terracotta rim and the stem, perching proud and tall until my emerald spines cast a jagged shadow over the entire leafy intruder. Now that's what I call establishing proper garden hierarchy.
