Film Review in the Shadows
I noticed the wide black glass screen of the muted television reflecting the evening room like dark game film. On the floorboards below rested an unbent silver paper clip and a discarded plastic bread tag. Perfect study markers. I planted both cleats into the dark oak grain, dropped into a low crouch, and set the bread tag flat as a down marker. Using two gloved fingers, I slid the silver clip along the polished reflection to trace the passing lane. Every route leaves a trail. I watched the movement resolve against the dark screen until the execution felt automatic.
