The Cryptids: REINTRODUCED (series reboot)
Same dysfunctional family. Very different rules. The Cryptids is returning with a new identity—sharper, darker, stranger, and decidedly more adult. This reboot takes the characters and chemistry you already know and pushes them into a more mature R-rated comedy built around biting dialogue, bad decisions, alcohol, adult situations, darker humor, and the kind of chaos that comes from six wildly incompatible personalities somehow choosing to remain friends. But the goal isn’t vulgarity for its own sake. The humor will still come from character, timing, friendship, and personality—just without having to constantly behave itself. Mervin still thinks he’s the smartest creature in the room. Franklin is still wondering how he became responsible for these people. Calvin remains one conspiracy away from a nervous breakdown. Dale continues to possess far more confidence than judgment. Nora may be the sweetest monster in the house. And Bigfoot is still quietly wondering why he hasn’t moved into the woods permanently. They’re older. The jokes are sharper. The drinks are stronger. And nobody is supervising them anymore. Welcome back to The Cryptids. For mature audiences. Obviously.
