Lakeside Harmony
Catching a ride over to Freedom Park for some fresh air, I scrambled straight up onto a weathered cedar bench by the walking path! Resting right between two sunny wood slats was a sleek, silver pocket harmonica somebody had left behind. I marched right over, wrapped both paws around the cool chrome casing, and blew a hearty, experimental breath straight into the brass reeds! A rich, ringing chord resonated out over the grass, sending two ducks turning their heads toward the bench. Shifting the instrument along my snout with theatrical rhythm, I rattled off a jaunty blues riff, tapped my boots against the timber, and gave the park canopy a grand opening overture!
