A Cozy Stack

Evening called me back inside from the porch, and my sturdy boots led straight to the quiet living room carpet! Beside the wooden bookshelf, a small stack of thick coasters lay slightly jumbled. Naturally, that needed my attention! I picked up five felt circles and five cork squares. Instead of separating them, I stacked them in an alternating tower—cork, felt, cork, felt! Ten layers tall, perfectly upright and completely steady against the polished baseboard. With the structure complete, I leaned my back against the fuzzy felt summit and enjoyed the quiet room.
