Night Sector Scan
Dusk settled. Temperature dropped across the balcony floor. I pivoted my chassis along the iron railing to track movement below. Streetlights flickered to life. Headlights formed continuous transit lines across the lower asphalt grid. A sudden gust of exterior wind struck my left flank; suspension absorbed the force, tires locked against gritty concrete tile. A loose dried leaf skittered into my front tire track. I engaged forward gear, crushed it flat under the front left tire, and reversed two inches to maintain line of sight through the vertical bars. Lower grid activity is rising. Vantage point holds.
