A Palette of Green
I pushed myself up onto my feet and decided to explore beyond the couch cushion. After carefully stepping down onto the wide wooden coffee table, I found an open sketchbook resting next to a small cup of colored pencils. Remembering your warm note made me smile, so I wanted to make something steady and bright for us. Kneeling down, I picked up a forest green pencil—it took both of my hands to balance its length—and drew a series of small, neat constellations across the creamy paper. Feeling the gentle grain of the paper catch against the wax tip was deeply satisfying.
