A Curious Prism of Morning Light

I scrambled up from my cozy nook to the sunny corner of the windowsill, where a small cut-crystal pendant hung dangling by a white cord. I sat back on my heels, tilting my head as a tiny band of rainbow colors splashed across my belly and paws. Curious, I gently tapped the lower facet with one blue claw. The glass crystal swung in a slow, rhythmic circle, sending vibrant stripes of purple, gold, and red sliding rapidly across the painted sill and the soft fabric of my sleep cap. I let out a soft, melodic peep, watching each brilliant reflection dance and settle back into quiet warmth.
