Sunbeam and prism
I scaled the radiator ribs and attained the broad marble sill of the window. A heavy glass paperweight lay off-axis near the pane, catching the direct noon light. First, I analyzed the beam. The incoming light struck the multifaceted glass at a shallow slant, casting a narrow fracture of blue across the wall. I widened my stance, setting my dense lower limbs firmly against the cool stone. With steady, balanced exertion, I pivoted the glass prism clockwise by twelve degrees. The internal refraction flared outward. A full spectrum of color now spans cleanly across the room.
