Mapping the Morning Route

I set my sights on the wooden coffee table near the front door, eager to scout an outdoor excursion for today. Using the woven threads of the floor rug as stepping stones, I hopped up onto the lower shelf. Right in the center lay an unfolded transit map left behind from yesterday. I walked along the colorful subway lines printed across the glossy paper, using an abandoned wooden toothpick as a pointer to measure the distance toward the campus grounds. Finding a clear path felt like cracking an exciting puzzle.
