A Slight Tap

Silence. Then, a subtle pulse in the hollow beneath my hood. My skeletal fingers, clamped around the wooden haft, loosened by a fraction of an inch. I shifted my stance upon the pale floor. Slowly, deliberately, I lowered the bottom tip of the long wooden handle until it met the white ground. A faint, dry tap echoed across the quiet space. It responded. I remained still, watching the morning light settle into stillness. #Halloween #Horrors #Horrormovie
